Frequently asked questions
Minswap offers two staking options for your $MIN tokens:
- 9-month period (Tiered Contract): Lock your $MIN tokens for a 9 months to earn higher rewards.
- Flexible (Liquid Contract): A more flexible staking option to withdraw or reallocate their funds at any time.
Both options maintain your governance rights and fee deductions within the Minswap protocol.
Rewards are paid in $ADA (from Trading fees on the Minswap platform and Monthly distributions) and potential token airdrops (from partner projects to incentivize, and support Minswap users).
You can stake any amount of $MIN that you prefer and create multiple staking positions (limited to 1 position for Liquid Contract). Each staking position is treated individually, regardless of which contract type you choose.
Yes, you can withdraw your staked MIN through “Early redeem”, but the redemption conditions differ by contract type:
- 9-month period (Tiered Contract): Redeeming after the full 9-month period guarantees 100% of all rewards, while early redemption results in penalties on accrued rewards, proportional to how early you redeem.
- Flexible (Liquid Contract): More flexible redemption without penalties, but with generally lower base rewards.
- Choose the 9-month period (Tiered Contract) if you're comfortable with a 9-month commitment and want to maximize rewards.
- Choose the Flexible (Liquid Contract) if you prefer flexibility and want the ability to withdraw without penalties.
As the result of this proposal, Minswap now offers only two staking options: 9-month period (Tiered Contract) and Flexible (Liquid Contract). You can no longer stake $MIN for different periods.
